United Way Day of Caring in
San Antonio, Texas
Valero’s annual Day of Caring in San Antonio is
one of the most anticipated volunteer events.
More than 250 Valero volunteers were on hand
in 2025 to transform the St. Peter-St. Joseph
Children’s Home (St. PJ’s) and Seton Home with
carpentry, painting, landscaping, cleaning and
more to help spruce up the centers and bring
smiles to its clients’ faces. With more than 130
years of service, St. PJ’s provides a safe, loving
refuge for children in crisis, supporting their
healing while working to break cycles of abuse
and neglect. Similarly, Seton Home, founded in
1981, helps break cycles of abuse and poverty
by supporting pregnant and parenting teen
mothers and their children through housing,
education, and comprehensive services.
