Basic Needs: Providing Food and Shelter to Those in Need
Contributions to food banks and residential shelters, and of clothing and personal hygiene
kits, are some examples of Valero's support to the basic needs of neighboring communities.
Some investments include:
Aurora, South Dakota –
Through the Valero Bene昀椀t for
Children program, Valero partners
with the Salvation Army to host
“Share the Warmth,” providing winter
clothing to those in need.
Montreal, Canada – Since 2018, Valero
has supported Montreal’s East Collective
Gardens’ urban agriculture projects
that provide 2,000 pounds of fruits and
vegetables annually to the local food
bank, Action Secours Vie d'Espoir.
Corpus Christi, Texas – Since 2022,
Valero has partnered with Habitat
for Humanity and sponsored 昀椀ve
playhouses for families, which give
children a place to safely play and
be creative.
Dumas, Texas – Through the
Valero Bene昀椀t for Children
program, Valero volunteers with Snack
Pak 4 Kids to bridge the weekend gap by
providing food bags with easy-toprepare, kid-friendly items.
Houston, Texas – Through the
Valero Bene昀椀t for Children program,
Valero has contributed more than
$600,000 to Local Infant Formula
for Emergencies (LIFE), Texas’s only
baby formula food bank. Valero
employees also conduct an annual
formula drive.
Lima, Peru – Valero
contributed 40,000 diapers
and 100,000 wipes to Hospital
Nacional del Nino (Children’s
Health Institute) to improve
daily care and hygiene for
young patients and their
families.

Kerrville, Texas | Employee Generosity
Valero volunteers supported on-the-ground relief
efforts, from clearing debris to distributing food, water,
cleaning supplies and fuel cards. It re昀氀ected the heart
of Valero employees, people helping people.
After devastating 昀氀oods struck the Texas
Hill Country in July 2025, Valero employees
quickly responded, personally giving to help
displaced families and communities facing
hardships. Valero employees collectively
donated $130,000, which the company matched
dollar for dollar, bringing the total contribution
to $260,000. These funds were directed to the
Community Foundation of the Texas Hill
Country's Kerr County Relief Fund. Valero also
supported organizations on the front lines,
including the Salvation Army, San Antonio Food
Bank, Texas Search and Rescue, and the
American Red Cross.
